Makthakousarali, Telangana

The Khajaguda Lake project spanning 2018 to 2020 has shown progress within its sustainability after the involvement of United Way Hyderabad. The lake had an earlier situation of being a spot for mosquito breeding which led onto a spread of diseases in the nearby communities..

The lake was also seen to have an accumulation of debris which comprised of plastic waste and garbage. With the aid of organizations such as WELLS FARGO and GHMC, there was a visible reduction in such problems. With additional work of Weed removal of 50 tons and Waterbody cleaning the welfare of the lake has seen an improvement.

Spanning 5866.15 hours, United Way Hyderabad alongside its supporting organizations have managed to do ground-breaking work which was earlier considered to be near to impossible.
