Hunar entails skill development. Through Hunar, United Way of Hyderabad (UWH) enables the socio-economically underprivileged communities to secure a better livelihood. Under this project, UWH connects community members to identify their needs/aspirations of better livelihood; connect them to industry-relevant and market-driven skill training; as well as provide value-added support like workplace readiness, communication and collaboration. The core objectives of Hunar are to enable women to acquire technical skills to make them employable so that they are able to take up jobs or enterprise opportunities available in the local market to make an income.
Founded in 2010, United Way of Hyderabad (UWH) is a non-profit volunteer led organization, that supports and mainstreams the socio-economically underprivileged communities of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.UWH maneuvers its effort in building community-based and community-led solutions that strengthen the foundations of a good life: education, financial stability and health.
All our programs are developed and customized post need analysis of the communities we serve. We are registered as a Society under Andhra Pradesh Societies Registration Act 2001 and are legally compliant with 80G, 12A & FCRA.
