The Miyawaki Plantation technique made by Akira Miyawaki has helped create dense forests quickly and successively. This high-density tree plantation is renamed by KTR as the Yadadri Model of Forestation in Telangana. This climate change solutions project was conducted between 2019 and 2021 on a 1-acre land where one year was taken for plantation and the next for maintenance. United Way Of Hyderabad, an NGO for environmental sustainability has managed to convert the unused, dry land into a dense forest under the CSR activity of CGI India with the support of the Hyderabad Central University. The 4000 saplings of 61 varieties were planted during the project timeline, the forest was able to grow at a good speed and helped reintroduce native plants in abundance on unused land. Approximately 465 volunteering hours were spent by company volunteers, UWH as a tree plantation NGO has managed to create a new forest that can support the communities as well as provide the resources needed. United Way Hyderabad through this venture has managed to start forest restoration in Hyderabad.
